Welcome to Forest Hill Elementary Senior Campus
Welcome to Forest Hill School. The school opened in 1997 in St. Lazare off the western tip of the island of Montreal. The junior and senior school campuses were created in 2005 in response to the rapidly growing population in the off-island districts of the Lester B. Pearson School Board. We serve a mostly English-speaking clientele from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in two different buildings. Forest Hill School offers resources, special activities and school events that are geared towards the interests and needs of specific age groups.
The collaboration between staff and the parent community has always been very important. Our parents are key to the educational success of their children and also to the success of our school.
Our school team works together to enhance the learning of core and complementary subjects. We provide a rich academic environment that supports students so they can develop their intellectual, social and emotional competencies and become life-long learners. We support each child to reach his/her individual potential. We also aim to instill in students a sense of responsibility for the environment and social causes and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Our school is equipped with a computer lab and smart boards in each classroom. We have mini laptops and mobile devices such as iPads and iPods which students use in class. Our library is well furnished and our librarian and her volunteers welcome classes weekly. We have a music room and a resource room. Students eat in our cafeteria and can pre-order hot lunches.
We are proud members of Peaceful Schools International and Brundtland Green Schools (EVB).
